After months and months of silence, Rockstar finally revealed some details about GTA V's next gen version last week. Now, we know the game's download size and how much space you'll need for GTA V on your hard drive.
GTA 5 PS5 & Xbox Series X Download Size
We're now just a week or so away from the release of GTA V's next gen version and you can download it now on most platforms.
As expected, you'll need a lot of space on your system to do so. GTA V next-gen is coming in at about 87GB on all platforms.
That may change depending on whether you download GTA V and GTA Online, or just one or the other. As soon as those fine details are confirmed, we'll let you know.
On PS5 at least, you'll need 86.837 GB of free space to download Rockstar's game.
Pre Order & Preload
It seems like GTA V is rolling out slowly on next gen consoles in various regions. While it's not live in the US and UK yet, it's live in Australia.
The ability to pre order and preload GTA V on PS5 and Xbox Series X will be available to everyone by the end of March 8 at the very latest.
Keep checking the store on your platform of choice, though, as it may appear earlier. Now that you know the download size of the game, though, you can get your hard drive prepared in time for preloading.
Pricing
While not confirmed for all regions, it seems as though GTA V will be half price from March 15 until June this year, making the game $14.99 AUD.
We don't know yet if that's for both GTA Online and the story mode, or just the latter - nor how much it costs in other regions - but we'll let you know as soon as we do.
