Usually, Rockstar Games offers GTA Online players a Weekly Update every Thursday. More often than not, it's a store rotation and changes up which playlists offer you 2x RP, however, there's sometimes a couple new cars involved. LATEST - The Contract delays Weekly Update
Earlier in the week, Rockstar Games announced The Contract - a new story expansion coming to GTA Online on December 15th.
This is going to follow Franklin's exploits post-Grand Theft Auto V's single-player story and includes new cars, new weapons, and new music from Dr Dre. It's going to be another extensive expansion, along the lines of the Cayo Perico Heist or the Los Santos Tuners update. This might not add as many new cars, though!
With this in mind, we don't think we're going to see a Weekly Update from Rockstar Games this week - usually, they take a week off before a major expansion.
GTA Online Weekly Update December 9 & Winter Update Release Date
Rockstar Games usually adds a new Podium Vehicle and various discounts in the weekly GTA Online update, but the upcoming Winter Update could delay that this week.
As @TezFunz2 on Twitter has pointed out, the content that arrived last week runs until December 14, which is when the winter event should begin. As soon as that's confirmed, we'll let you know.
Therefore, there will likely not be a weekly update on December 9. We have the details of what's live until December 14 below.
