Months ago now, a supposed leak suggested that GTA 6 would be revealed to the world in the form of live events taking place in GTA Online.
It was dismissed by many as little more than a wish list, and very little concrete news on GTA 6 has been revealed since.
However, the leak has now resurfaced on Reddit, alongside a piece on news that could back it up.
GTA 6 Reveal in GTA Online Live Events
The original leak, which you can see here, said that GTA Online will be received "4 large updates leading into the GTA 6 marketing campaign, which will which take place over live events."
There was nothing to back up the claim, with the post being nothing more than a list of supposed "facts" about the new game.
There's no denying that revealed GTA 6 that way would be cool though, following in the footsteps of the likes of Call of Duty: Warzone, which revealed Black Ops Cold War via an in-game event.
With the enhanced and expanded GTA V Next-Gen version due out in November, it would be fun way to reveal the next true instalment in the series.
New GTA Online Job Listing
Now, a new Rockstar job listing has led to fans linking it to the initial leak. The listing for a Live Operations Coordinator reads:
"This role will be responsible for executing all in-game marketing campaigns for Red Dead Online and Grand Theft Auto Online."
While this most likely just means in-game marketing for GTA Online updates and events, it could then expand to something more, especially as we hopefully get closer to the release and reveal of GTA V Next-Gen and GTA 6.
Of course, the link could be entirely coincidental, but it's fun to think of the possible ways to reveal GTA 6 in GTA Online nonetheless.
Take all of these leaks with a grain (or mountain) of salt, as always, as we're still waiting for official news of any kind for GTA 6.
With the GTA Online Summer Update due to launch soon and GTA V Expanded & Enhanced launching on November 11, the rest of 2021 could be exciting for GTA fans.
