The Dendro element in Genshin Impact is a big mystery. It is the only one of seven known elements with no character or boss.
Sumeru is the nation of Dendro, the element that represents nature in Genshin. The region is based in ancient Egypt and Middle East countries, with desert areas and other parts full of vegetation.
Recent leaks revealed two new elemental reactions, and it seems this new element will raise a lot of eyebrows. Here are the details.
Genshin Impact 3.0
We know that Sumeru will be the next nation that the traveller will visit, following the recommendation of Yae Miko.
If everything works according to Hoyoverse's plans for 2022, the Dendro Region will be launched on August 3 of this year during the Genshin Impact 3.0.
Dendro Reaction
The only contact that travellers have with the Dendro element is through the scattered Dendro Slimes found in certain forest areas in Liyue and Mondstadt.
Recent leaks revealed two more reactions:
- Intensified (Dendro & Electro)
- The reaction will drop an Electro Particle
- Dendro and Electro damage is increased during 7 seconds.
- Overgrowing (Dendro & Hydro)
- The reaction drops seeds that become mushrooms.
- Mushrooms explode upon Hydro application and deal AoE Dendro damage.
According to the Chinese leakers, Dendro will not have an Elemental Reaction with Geo, Anemo, and Cryo elements.
We know from the Dendro slimes that Pyro and Dendro produce the reaction burning that increases the Pyro DMG.
Even though we have to take this information with a grain of salt, it seems Dendro will not have an effect with half of the current elements in the game.
We hope it is a case of information being lost in translation. Otherwise, many players will not be pleased that upcoming characters like Kusanali the Dendro Archon will not have synergy with their current roster.
