Genshin Impact 2.3: New Type of Banner Revealed, Eula re-run

During the Genshin Impact 2.3 Livestream, miHoYo confirmed that players are getting more than 2 Character Banners in the upcoming update.

A new type of Banner was announced and Genshin Impact is releasing a re-run exclusive Character Banner, responding to the demands from the community of being able to wish for old characters more often. Here are the details.

Re-run Issues

With a constantly increasing roster of characters in Genshin Impact, the current banner system was not fulfilling the needs of players who have to wait for months to have the chance to wish for their favorite characters or obtain their constellations.

miHoYo has addressed the topic in previous Q&A sessions, letting the community know that they were working on something to fix this issue.

Well, the waiting is over. Genshin Impact 2.3 will see the debut of a new type of banner that will feature exclusively 5-star old characters.

Re-run Character Banners Perks in Genshin Impact 2.3

These are all the details we know so far about the Genshin Impact Banner:

  • The new banner type is a separate Banner running concurrently with the traditional Character Banner.
  • The Character Banner and the New Banner will use the same currency: Intertwined Fates.
  • Both the Character Banner and New Banner will share the same Pity.
  • New banner type for re-runs. It will only show up with another re-run.
  • The first Re-run Banner will feature Eula.

Eula is joining Albedo

It was just days ago that Albedo was confirmed as the first re-run of Genshin Impact 2.3.

Now, Eula, the 5-star Cryo Claymore user, is back in the Genshin Impact wish system.

The Spirited Knight's last time in Genshin Impact was back on May 2021, in Genshin Impact 1.5, when she was featured in the second banner, along with The Spindrift Shall Never Return to the Sea story Quest.

This news will shake the community, hopefully for the best, considering that the cycle of re-runs will be faster, allowing more opportunities to pull for missed characters.
