There appears to be 7/8 locations scortched by cubes landing on the island. Corny Crops and Sludge Swamp remain as they were after their abduction via the Mothership.

Season 8 Map Centre Point Theories

As we get closer to getting our first look at the Fortnite Season 8 map, insiders are speculating about what the centre point of the map will look like.

Will we see the cube return, or will it be more like the spires from a few seasons ago.

Below, you can see what each of the Center Points have looked like in Chapter 2 so far.

Will the Season 8 Map be recognisable?

While many players in the Fortnite community expected pretty widespread changes to the map, perhaps Epic are changing more than anyone could anticipate?

As many as 5 major POI are on the chopping block and it's not known if like-for-like replacements are due or whether the map changes are set to change the game in a huge way for Season 8.

Is it 'Goodbye Misty Meadows' in Season 8?

In addition to the three POI that have already been abducted, it appears a fourth POI will also be disappearing.

Misty Meadows is set to be the crash site for the Mothership which will add it to the current list of Fortnite map changes for Season 8.

Fortnite POI Changes for Season 8

Based on what's been happening during the closing stages of Season 7, three POI may not be returning. Slurpy Swamp, Coral Castle and Corny Complex have been, or will be, abducted.

Moving forward, it is unlikely that either of the POI locations will return in Season 8. We are also expecting an appearance from Kevin the Cube soon and this could also impact how the map looks. Whether or not one of these POI becomes home to The Cube is yet to be seen, but it could be likely.

New Season 8 POI

When we look forward, very little information exists as to what could be arriving. Beyond the Cube rumours, we only have one leak. This suggests that a Pyramid POI was found in the game files and was likely being used next season.

This is what has caused the belief that an Ancient Egypt or lost Civilisation theme will run throughout Season 8. We would certainly be game for the opportunities this brings for content including the Battle Pass.

Whatever ends up happening, we'll keep you up to date with the latest developments regarding Fortnite Season 8. As soon as those teases and end of season event begins, we'll know a lot more. Given the success of this season, we can't wait to see what's next!
