Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 is almost at an end, with Season 5 starting on Wednesday, 2 December.
Before the new season arrives there is the Galactus Event to look forward to!
Galactus is known as the "Devourer of Worlds", so could we be getting a new map in Season 5?
Here's everything we know.
Latest News - Players Will Drive The Battle Bus During Galactus Event
It has now been confirmed by Epic Games that players will be able to drive the Battle Bus as part of the upcoming Galactus event.
Recently they have been hinting at it, such as by showing Gamma Cells loaded in the Battle Bus, presumably to use the bus as an RC missile.
In the tweet it shows three Battle Buses flying through the night sky with the caption "You do know how to drive the Battle Bus.. right?"
The Fortnite characters have loaded the buses with Gamma Cells, could these be enough to take down Galactus and save the Fortnite map?
With the event being the biggest yet, 4GB in size compared to the Black Hole event which was 480MB, it seems this will be a long event with many twists and turns.

When Does Season 4 End?
Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 was due to end on Monday, 30 November.
Since then the date has been pushed around before finally being confirmed to end on Wednesday, 2 December.
The Countdown Has Begun
Earlier today the countdown has begun for the end of season event.
The countdown is currently showing that the event will take place on Tuesday, 1 December at 4pm EST / 9pm GMT.
Galactus Is On The Map
We have gotten our first glimpse of Galactus on the Fortnite map.
Showed by FortTory, players can see Galactus' horns rising from the water off the coast to the east of Sweaty Sands.
Judging by the small amount of the horns that are peaking above the water, Galactus is going to be huge.
He will likely be as big as the Travis Scott character model in that event, maybe even taller.
Galactus Event Date
Fortnite posted to their social media the announcement of the date and time for the Galactus event.
The tweet reads,
"The Battle Bus is loaded and ready to go. This is our final stand to save all Reality."
It is interesting to see the Battle Buses racing away from Galactus, presumably carrying all of the characters from the world of Fortnite.
This is very reminiscent of the Battle Bus leaving the Fortnite island in the promo image for The End event in Chapter 1.
Agent Jonesy
It has also been reported that the voice actor for Agent Jonesy has done more dialogue, meaning we will likely see a return of Agent Jonesy and find out more about that part of the story too.
I have theorized that Fortnite is just a simulation and a video game, in their world as well as ours.
The Fortnite story sees most of the characters as friends who hang out and have fun, so it doesn't make sense for them to all gather together to kill each other.
So it seems likely it is a simulation of sorts, kind of virtual reality.
The Agent Jonesy section of the Season 2 event also did point to it in a way, so it would be great to see that revisited and explored even further.

Black Hole Part 2?
It has been leaked that Galactus will destroy the current Chapter 2 map, taking us to a 2 day downtime like the black hole event.
With the event taking place on December 1st, the game will remain offline until December 2nd.
A Reddit user posted a leaked clip of what will happen when players load back into the game when downtime ends on December 2nd.
The Black Hole event was the biggest moment in Fortnite history, reaching peak interest in Google searches, as well as making headlines around the world.
Could Epic Games be looking to recreate some of that magic?
