When does Fortnite Season 8 End & Season 9 Begin

Fortnite Season 8 is more than halfway complete and the Fortnitemares event that celebrates Halloween has just ended. The season still has plenty of life but it never hurts to look forward to what's next in the calendar.

In a surprising turn of events, we're not sure whther or not Season 9 is actually what's next or if we may transition straight into Chapter 3 instead.

We've got all the details you need to know about the end of Fortnite Season 8 and the beginning of Season 9.

Fortnite Season 8 End Date

Fortnite Season 8 will end on Sunday, 5 December. While we don't have confirmation as of yet, it's expected that there will be a big blow-off event to end the current storyline.

That doesn't mean that Season 9 will have a completely brand new story but Fortnite is unlikely to leave things on a cliffhanger again after doing so with Season 7.

Season 8 started in dramatic fashion

The end of Season 8 could hold plenty of surprises in store as we're still yet to see what comes of the Cube movements story and discover who the mystery battle pass character is. The big leak from pre-season was also that Naruto would be coming to Fortnite and this is still yet to happen.

Fortnite Season 9 Start Date

Fortnite Season 9 is likely to begin on either Monday, 6 December or Tuesday, 7 December. The chances are that the beginning of the new season will play out much as it did for the last.

Severs are likely to go down following the end of season event and will be down for an extended time while hints and teases are dropped about the new content coming to the game.

The only leak of any substance in regards to Fortnite Season 9 is that Spider-Man could finally arrive in the game. There is data within the game, under the codename WestSausage, hinting at the addition of the web-slinger. His arrival was heavily rumoured before Season 8 but nothing solid was ever seen.
