After the Season 7 Battle Pass, every Fortnite fan has become accustomed to the same thing - fantastic collaborative content. Epic Games is still releasing brilliant original character skins, but it's safe to say that the most hype comes around when they bring in a pre-established character. With Season 8 right around the corner, we're asking the following question: Who's going to headline the Season 8 Battle Pass?
Who could we see in the Season 8 Battle Pass?
It's a question that we all want to answer, but one we can't really confirm until Season 8 is out. Fortnite introduces pre-established characters through a number of means and just because there's a leak of one character, doesn't mean they're in the Battle Pass. Epic Games hosts Cup Tournaments alongside new characters - like the Wonder Woman Cup - or they're just released as Item Shop Bundles.
With that in mind, though... Naruto and Goku are both being heavily talked about alongside Spider-Man. The Season 8 Battle Pass always has some surprises, though. Season 7 threw Rick Sanchez at us, for example.
With this in mind, there are a few other people we want to see headline the Season 8 Battle Pass next month.
Rumours suggest that Fortnite's Season 8 theme is going to be "Ancient Civilizations". We think this would be the perfect time to introduce The Mummy's Rick O'Connell - played by the legendary Brendan Fraser - and Evelyn Carnahan - played by the wonderful Rachel Weisz. These two characters are icons on the same level as Ripley from Alien and Sarah Connor from The Terminator - so why wouldn't they be included?
On top of this, we tasked ourselves with thinking of a Fortnite skin that could rival Superman - following his appearance in Season 7's Battle Pass - and we came up with one undeniable answer: Boba Fett.
The Mandalorian's addition to Fortnite was hugely popular, but imagine if they added Boba Fett? Following his appearance in The Mandalorian Season 2, there's plenty of different appearances they could introduce and the related cosmetics basically design themselves. Boba Fett could have a Jetpack Back Blind, his Tusken-inspired Gaffi Stick as a harvesting tool and... He could just fly instead of a Glider, right?
We won't know for sure who's going to headline the Fortnite Season 8 Battle Pass, but we think these are a couple of good ideas.
When does Season 8 actually start?
Fortnite's next season is a lot closer than you might think it is - Season 7 is scheduled to end on September 12th.
This means we could see Season 8 start as early as September 13th, or somewhen around September 15th. It's a little hard to predict right now, as Epic Games likes to drop unexpected Server Downtime on us between seasons, but we should have a better idea over the next few days.
When the Season 7 Battle Pass ends - on September 12th - we'll be a matter of hours away from finding out who's headlining Season 8's Battle Pass. Exciting times.
