Fortnite Grapple Gloves Item Added To the Game

Chapter 3 Season 3 of Fortnite is well underway and Epic Games has already begun pushing out new items to keep the battle royale experience more interesting for fans of the game. The latest edition? A brand new set of Fortnite grapple gloves.

This isn't the first time Fortnite has experimented with new ways of traversing the map. The addition of a no-build mode, sprinting, vaulting and vehicles have all given players new ways to explore the in-game world but the Fortnite grapple gloves let them take to the skies and swing from the rooftops. Here's all you need to know about the weapon.

When Are The Fortnite Grapple Gloves Available?

Good news for fans itching to swing across their favourite battle royale, the Fortnite grapple gloves have been enabled and added to the game's arena mode, as reported by Fortnite News source and leaker ShiinaBR via their Twitter.

The Fortnite Grapple Gloves can be found in various locations scattered across the map with reliable source iFireMonkey posting a map with each location marked so they are easier to find for players. The locations themselves are decorated with a splattering of pink paint and have large towering structures.

I tried to confirm whether or not the gloves had been implemented into the standard No Build mode of Fortnite and while the structures were all there, the lootable containers hadn't yet spawned in. This will likely change as the day progresses and this article will update as more info is provided.

What Are The Fortnite Grapple Gloves?

For those who have been keeping up with Fortnite over the last few seasons, a pair of Fortnite grapple gloves might sound oddly familiar. That's because this grapple gun appears to be a direct replacement for the Spider-Man Web-Shooters.

This speculation comes from various trustworthy Fortnite insiders like iFireMonkey who noted a string of text that was fixed from "Web was broken" to "Rope was broken", seemingly confirming that the item was once at least Spider-Man related and was changed to the Fortnite grapple gloves we're now getting, presumably due to the rights expiring.

While it isn't confirmed, it seems like this Fortnite grapple gloves will have some ties to the Indiana Jones outfit that is set to arrive later in the season, with the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 Gameplay Trailer showing a player wearing the outfit using the item.

The gloves will have 30 uses when they're added to the core mode with the competitive version of the item only having 10 charges.
