FIFA 22 is full steam ahead with Team of the Year rolling and plenty of other FUT action in store.
But that's not all fans have to look forward to, as EA has revealed the next steps for the game with Title Update #4. With that, let's dive right into what we know so far!
Latest - Out now on consoles
Good news, Title Update #4 is now available on Playstation and Xbox consoles, and Stadio too!
Consoles users are due a hefty update, and that is what they will now get as part of Title Update #4!
Release Date
Title Update #4 went live on PC on Tuesday, January 11th, and it was expected that it would launch on all other platforms around Monday, January 17th per EA's typical release schedule.
After a lengthy delay after the last update, EA is pulling no punches with the newest patch notes!
"Excellent" patch
EA did not release an update for FIFA 22 for well over a month, so there is plenty of patches across a variety of game modes.
The gameplay, in particular, has caught the eye though with some notable changes arriving in the game.
One member of the FIFA community has described the patch as excellent as the gameplay has reverted to a more balanced style like we saw early on in FIFA 22.

Security changes
Title Update #4 is not the only update bringing changes to the game.
After the recent hacking scandals, EA has introduced changes in an attempt to ensure mistakes like this don't happen again.

Meta is a moving target
From the outset of FIFA 22, we have seen a resurgence in the use of centre-backs in comparison to FIFA 21 with pace being less crucial in defensive situations.
The fact the likes of Man City's Ruben Dias have been useable in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team is refreshing, to say the least after a plague of full-backs being used last season.
However, that plague looks to be returning! Full-backs seem to have broken the shackles of poor defensive positioning and once again returned to the top table.
The more special cards (with higher pace) we see added to the game, the faster we need our defenders to be.
We hope that this trend is quickly stamped out, but the signs all point to full-backs once again being used in the middle of defence.
