FIFA 21 Team of the Year is nearly upon us, but are things going to go as we expect?
There has been plenty of talk on social media about a possible under-23 team being released.
Could this be true? Take a look at what we know so far.
Release Date
Team of the Year is set to arrive on Friday, 22 January.
We think that the full TOTY XI will be revealed, but there are some suggestions that might not be the case!
Under 23 XI
There are whispers of an under 23 team being released as part of the Team of the Year event.
Could we see two separate squads released back-to-back?
Whether an under 23 squad could replace the Future Stars promo we don't know.
We would rather have the TOTY event now and keep the Future Stars promo!
Under 23 Predictions
Take a look at some of the under-23 players nominated for TOTY.
Theo Hernandez
We think Alphonso Davies will clinch the left back spot in FIFA 21 TOTY, but Theo Hernandez has also been outstanding.
The Frenchman has been a goal threat for Milan and is one of the most popular left back cards on FUT 21.
Houssem Aouar
Another outstanding French talent, Lyon’s Houssem Aouar could be a midfield option for any potential under-23 XI.
With a balanced array of attributes, Aouar would certainly be popular if he were to receive a new special card.
Renato Sanches
The FUT Community would love this!
Renato Sanches looks to be getting back near his best now, and he already boasts a variety of cards on FIFA 21 Ultimate Team.
Erling Haaland
Erling Haaland is a true goal machine.
The Borussia Dortmund striker just loves goals and could go close to being selected in the actual TOTY XI.
Joao Felix
One of EA’s ambassadors, Joao Felix has shown the world why he is so highly regarded.
The Atletico Madrid forward has helped his side take control of the La Liga title race and could lead a possible under 23 lineup.
Kylian Mbappe
Surely, we will see some sort of TOTY card for Kylian Mbappe?
Whether it is in the full TOTY XI, 12th man or in a rumoured under 23 team, this is one we are really excited for.
