Ultimate Team (FUT) is by far the most popular game mode on FIFA, and it has been for a while!
Not sure how it all works? Don't worry, find out everything you need to know and more below.
Starting Off
When you start off Ultimate Team, you will be given the choice of which nation will form the spine of your starting squad.
This is not a big deal, but can be helpful if you have an idea of what league or nation you want your team to be made up of as you can begin to form chemistry links.
Chemistry Links
Chemistry is a key part of FUT as it impacts your team's on-field performance. The aim is to have 100 Chemistry, with each player in the starting XI having a maximum of 10.
A player's chemistry is affected by their club, league, nation, manager and club loyalty.
Consumables
You will need a variety of consumables throughout your Ultimate Team journey, with the most important being contract items. Without these you won't be able to play!
Chemistry styles are also valuable. They can provide extra ratings boosts to your players to give them the edge.
Match Options
There are plenty of game modes on FUT 21, with Division Rivals and FUT Champs Weekend League the most competitive.
Live Friendlies are another online option, while Squad Battles pit you against random teams as you take on AI for rewards.
Objectives/Rewards
FUT is broken up into seasons and we are currently in Season 4. There are new objectives to complete in each season, as well as weekly and daily objectives too.
These objectives will earn rewards for your club, including XP, packs, vanity items and even new players.
Packs
There are various packs that you will be able to buy/earn on FUT 21. You can purchase these packs through in-game coins of FIFA Points.
The best packs are released as 'promo' packs, and will give you better chances to pack higher value cards.
Promo Events
FUT Promo Events offer exciting new 'special' cards that are released into high-value packs for a limited time.
The next FUT promo is Future Stars, so some of the best young players will receive huge ratings boosts.
Team of the Week
Every Wednesday, a new set of 'in-form' (IF) cards are released for one week only.
These players make up the 'Team of the Week' and are selected from the top performing players in real life.
