Players thought they were free from it, but a new kick-off glitch has been discovered in FC 25 and it is ruining Ultimate Team.

Every FIFA & FC game in recent memory has had some form of kick-off tactic that breaks AI defenders and can be abused by unscrupulous and desperate players.

FC 25 Kick-off Glitch Returns

As if the speed boost and Trivela shots weren't frustrating enough, the return of the kick-off glitch has made FC 25 players furious.

Players had been reporting its issue for a while, but it took FC 25 streamer Bugs to post a clip that provided undisputable evidence of the glitch being back.

This glitch can be triggered on kickoffs by passing the ball back to a CM, then forward again to the CAM/ST, and hitting a lobbed through ball (L1 + Triangle or LB + Y) to your striker.

The AI-controlled defenders and even the goalkeeper are powerless here as your striker can cleanly run through and gather the ball, giving them an easy shot on goal.

How to Counter the Kick-off Glitch

There is one way for players to defend against it while waiting for EA to patch the glitch out of the game.

Players must take control of a midfielder and drop them between the centre backs before the through ball is played in order to manually gather the loose pass or contest possession.

It's far from a perfect solution as you will still need to defend a dangerous situation. However, it does reduce the risk as your AI defenders are completely incapable of fighting against it.
