With Saber Interactive's Evil Dead: The Game now released, countless players will be looking to experience the horror/comedy of Sam Raimi's classic franchise with their friends.
With all that time to play online, however, there will come a point when you are all out of characters to play with. Well, luckily for us Evil Dead: The Game allows players to unlock a variety of extra characters, with Pablo of the TV series Ash Vs Evil Dead being one of them. Here's how you do it.
How to Unlock Pablo in Evil Dead: The Game
Pablo is unlockable by completing the available single-player missions available in Evil Dead: The Game. These missions not only let you unlock characters but are a great way to get used to the combat of the game.
The mission, titled "It's Not Gonna Let Us Go", sees Pablo traversing the map trying to find franchise protagonist Ash Williams and help him get out of a less-than-groovy situation by teaming up with Ash's severed hand and Pablo's uncle.
This mission isn't as hard as the other levels in Evil Dead: The Game but it still has a fair share of difficulty. "It's Not Gonna Let Us Go" is one of the longer missions in Evil Dead: The Game, with a much slower and more drawn out pace as the entire map is covered by Pablo on his journey.
Resources are also extremely limited in this mission with Pablo starting without a single item and having to choose his weapons and equipment from the house near the start of the level before picking additional items up as he goes.
The true difficulty of this level comes from the lack of checkpoints and the sheer amount of deadites the player needs to take out. The mission does try to introduce some kind of stealth mechanic for Evil Dead: The Game but it's inconsistent at best and the player will find themselves often just having to fight a large horde of enemies with low resources and, of course, if you die it's back to the beginning again.
The final thing you'll need to watch out for in this mission is Evil Dead: The Game's fear mechanic which will be at its most relevant outside of the multiplayer experience. Multiple stops at the many bonfires across the map are recommended for this level and try to move from building to building as much as possible to avoid fear growth.
While this level can be a problem at first, just taking your time and being careful not to waste your resources will take you a long way and will allow you to finish the level and unlock Pablo rather easily compared to other characters.
