At the moment, we don't know what the Epic Games Store is going to offer us for the next week. It's exciting though, isn't it?
Much like last week, the announcement is due to arrive at the same time as the game switch. The next free mystery game from the EGS is going to be a mystery up until the last moment!
However, there's not long left to wait... The switch is due to be made at 08:00 PST / 11:00 EST / 16:00 BST on June 10th. What do you want to see?
Epic Games Store Mystery Game Release Date
Currently, Frostpunk is free to download and play on the Epic Games Store. It's not a bad title by any accounts, but it is a little disappointing if you're not a fan of strategy titles.
In any case, though, it's worth adding to your Game Library if you ever decide you want to play it. Frostpunk forces you to make tough decisions and makes you think about the morality of survival, as well as the practical logistics. It's a lot deeper than it looks.
The next free mystery game is due to replace Frostpunk on June 10th, though, and we're still waiting for a reveal as to what that title might be.

Mystery Game Leaks & Rumours
At the moment, we only really have one leak and it's carried over from a couple of weeks ago. Last month, a Reddit post suggested that Rise of the Tomb Raider was going to be free on the Epic Games Store until June 3rd. It looked like it came from the French-Langauge Epic Games Facebook account so it's not completely unbelievable.
However, the fact that we now know Among Us was the free mystery game on the Epic Games store for that date. Now, we've seen Frostpunk too and we really don't know what to think.
Either, the leak was completely false and shouldn't be believed... Or, there was a bit of a mix-up and Rise of the Tomb Raider is actually next week's free game.
It certainly wouldn't be a bad thing, but it shouldn't be taken without at least a grain or two of salt. As we now know, this could be false and we could be getting another title instead.
Epic Games aren't obliged to offer us AAA games as a part of their free mystery game promotion on the Epic Games Store, but you have to imagine that would help their end goal. Epic Games wants the Epic Games Store to rival Steam and, despite Fortnite's success, they still have a long way to go.
