It's been a long time coming, but after being delayed a couple of times, it looks like Dying Light 2 is finally on the way. It's safe to say that we're excited to see what Techland has done with Dying Light and where they're taking the series next.

One thing we do know about Dying Light 2, roughly, is how big the map is going to be. There's going to be a lot to do in Dying Light 2 and here's how the size of the map is going to compare to the size of Dying Light's map.

How big is Dying Light 2's map - The City?

Dying Light 2's map is going to be massive, to put it plainly. The City is being set up as the last bastion of human survival and it's going to be full of strange landmarks, hundreds of hidden pathways, and several routes from A to B. As you might expect, Dying Light 2 is going to lean on Dying Light's exploration of verticality and we should be getting quite a few building interiors too.

However, how does this actually measure up when compared to the map on offer in Dying Light? Well... Reports are stating that Dying Light 2's map is going to be around four times biggest than the map in Dying Light. There's also going to be a dynamic day-night cycle and an emphasis on narrative decisions that impact the environment around you. We're not sure about all the details yet, but we're certain that Dying Light 2 is going to have enough map to keep us busy for hours.

There's also going to be two additional Story DLC expansions - we don't know what they'll be about yet, but they could add even more locations to the game.

From what we know so far, Dying Light 2's map - The City - is going to be divided up into seven districts. This information has been around since 2019's E3 Demo, though, so we could see something quite different from the final release. Only time will tell...
