Destiny 2 recently got the Beyond Light expansion, and it shows that there is a long content map for the game.
However, the developers have kept something hidden from us until recently.
CEO of Bungie, Pete Parsons, has revealed that the team has been working on other ideas since 2017.
Let's take a look at what this could mean for Destiny fans now!
New Multiplayer Game
The latest news from the team, which was in a job-listing in early 2020, shows that Bungie is hiring for a "new multiplayer competitive game".
This points towards Bungie's current lead title, Destiny 2.
However, the new element of the listing could mean anything. With a number of incubation teams all working on new ideas, this new game could be anything.

However, our fingers are crossed for a new IP to add to the FPS genre.
We don't know for certain what this new title is, but the teams at Bungie, including Parsons, are excited about it.
Talent at Bungie
The original idea for these incubation teams was to nurture upcoming talent in the company.
However, according to Parsons, the team has come up with some exciting new ideas.
We know nothing about these other ideas, and Bungie hasn't released any other clues through job listings yet.
However, don't be surprised if you see some exciting Bungie announcements over the next couple of years.
That being said, this talent at Bungie could indeed be working on a Destiny 3.
Given the extended content map for Destiny 2, don't expect the game soon. But that doesn't mean to say that Destiny 3 is off the cards.
All we know is, the talent at Bungie is coming up with something exciting.
