The Dark Souls series didn't get the mainstream popularity it has until a while after its release.

Because of this, many people haven't had the chance to experience Demon's Souls, the game that started it all.

Haptic feedback is also being intergrated into the game, this will allow players to feel their swords clash against shields.

3D audio will also be utilised in the game too, to give a more immersive experience when trying to survive.

Some of the UI elements have been tweaked to enhance the overall player experience.

The games morality system, World Tendency, was never really fully explained in the original, but it has been overhauled and made much clearer in the remake.

There will also be no difficulty options for the games, what you see is what you get, and prepare to struggle a lot.

The Souls series is known for its extreme difficulty curve, leaving new players to frustratingly get killed by enemies hundreds of times, often with long back tracks from their respawn point.
