Cyberpunk 2077 has been worked on for some time and it's now much closer to the game we were expecting. With the next-gen update, we will see something much closer to what the development team wanted.
Here's what you should know about it and how to get it installed.
Cyberpunk 2077 Next-Gen Update
As we anticipated, we finally saw the launch of the next-gen update of Cyberpunk 2077. You can get it on your Xbox Series X/S or your PlayStation 4 right now. It's being reported to be pretty huge so it seems likely you may have to make up some room to get it going.
It may be some time until we have word on how well the next-gen update runs but it has been in the works for some time so the team must have some level of faith in the game.
Hopefully, this faith pays off. If all runs smoothly with this update, you can expect the team to work on the multiplayer update and some major DLC soon. It seems only a matter of time until Cyberpunk 2077 is in a state worth of that world and story.
How to install the next-gen Cyberpunk 2077 update
How you install the update will be dependant on your platform of choice. If you play on PlayStation, you can click start on Cyberpunk and check for updates. It should then manually install the update if it's spotted. If you aren't too bothered about playing it right away, the PlayStation is pretty good at automatically installing new updates.
If you're playing on Xbox, you can go to the "My games & apps" folder, then go down to the "Manage" tab. From here, click updates and download the next-gen update. There's a chance it may not pop up for you as it rolls out worldwide. If this is the case, you can refresh the tab by clicking on the section where it says "No updates currently available".
