It's safe to say that the Cyberpunk 2077 launch hasn't gone to plan.

The latest Projekt Red offering had the potential to be one of the standout games of 2020. However, things haven't quite panned out like that.

Sales have slipped even further this week, with Cyberpunk 2077 performing disastrously in Europe.

Cyberpunk Sales Fall

Despite debuting at number one in European sales following its first week on the shelves, Cyberpunk 2077 has fallen out of the top five.

After a surge in sales over Christmas, EA Sports title FIFA 21 retakes the top spot in terms of European sales, with Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe making up the top three.

Animal Crossings: New Horizons and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War complete the top five.

Cyberpunk does remain top of the ANZ sales though, so it's not all doom and gloom.

What's Next for Cyberpunk?

It's evident that the devs will need an improvement in performance in order for Cyberpunk to rise back up the rankings, but will that happen?

Projekt Red will hope that their upcoming update - update 1.07 - will help to turn things around.
