The release of the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X is right around the corner, with the Series X releasing on November 10th, while the PS5 launches on November 12th/19th.
Many of the launch titles for the systems will be ports of older titles from the previous gen, including Call Of Duty Warzone.
Warzone On PS5/Xbox Series X
At launch, the popular Battle Royale, Call Of Duty: Warzone will be available to play on PS5/Xbox Series X.
The mode was released earlier this year as part of the Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare game.
But due to its popularity it is being integrated into the new Black Ops Cold War, rather than abandoning it like they did with the Blackout mode from Black Ops 4.
Warzone will already be in the Playstation and Xbox Store so once you get your new system you can immediately download it and continue playing.
PS4/Xbox One Port?
It is believed that the version that will be playable is a port of the PS4/Xbox One version, utilising backwards compatibility, rather than a version made for those systems.
Many games have taken this option to get their games released sooner, and allowing them to be updated much easier.

Games such as Fortnite and Genshin Impact are using the previous gen versions on the next generation consoles.
This will likely change over time and developers will update the game to be the next generation version of the game.
4K/60FPS
Popular YouTuber JackFrags released a video playing Warzone on the PS5.
In the video he showed the game running on the next gen hardware.
He confirmed that the game will run at a stable 60fps in 4K.
Jack also stated that he noticed no instances of the game dipping and causing lower frame rates during high action fights.
However, he also confirmed the game isn't running at native 4K, instead running at dynamic 4K like the PS4 Pro version.
This further points to the game being a backwards compatible version of the PS4 game.
November 10th Update
Warzone's latest update saw the end of the Haunting event.
With it came a more standard set of options. BR solos, duos, trios, and quads all returned. As did Plunder Trios.
