Call of Duty Vanguard: How to Quickscope

Sledgehammer Games' new Call of Duty multiplayer experience is here and there's so much to look forward to in the coming months. It's the largest multiplayer launch in Call of Duty's series history and we're getting new content in a handful of weeks - Shipment 8v8 is going to be mad, right?

If you want to make sure you're on the top of your game ahead of Season One, you're going to need to know about how you can quickscope in Vanguard and what you need to know to help you with that.

QUICKSCOPE 101 - Everything you need to know

Firstly, it's important to note that you can only really quickscope in Vanguard with a Sniper Rifle - either the Type 99, the Kar98k, or the 3-Line. It doesn't count otherwise and using a Marksman Rifle to quickscope just doesn't work.

When you quickscope, you need to make sure you're getting a one-shot kill - Marksman Rifles often take two or three shots to kill, regardless of range.

Once you've chosen your Sniper, you're going to need an attachment loadout that prioritises ADS Speed. This will increase the speed of your scoping in and make your quickscope that little bit quicker.

Rear Grip, Underbarrel, and Stock attachments usually improve this - but be careful and keep an eye out for attachments that negatively affect it too. A heavier Stock attachment might slow this down a lot.

FULLY KITTED - It's important to get everything ready before a fight

Once you've got the best ADS Speed possible - it's also worth looking into Reload Speed too with bolt-action rifles - all you need to do is jump into a game and start trying to quickscope.

In order to quickscope, you need to ADS with a Sniper Rifle and fire before you're fully scoped in. It is more effective at closer ranges and can be used to make a Sniper a viable pick on any map - although it does take practice.
