When it comes to Call of Duty, we can usually expect a new game every year.
It likely doesn't come as a surprise that it looks like we'll be getting another one soon enough.
Activision recently confirmed that there would be a new game very soon.
Here's everything we know about when you can expect a new game in the Call of Duty series.
A new Call of Duty game is arriving in 202
On its most recent earnings call, Activision confirmed that a new Call of Duty game is set to arrive in Q4 2021.
Unfortunately, there were no additional details about what to expect from the new Call of Duty set in stone during that same call.
But we can at least say for sure that we'll see a new installment very soon, which continues the yearly tradition of bringing out a new Call of Duty.
Call of Duty 2021 rumors
Previously, rumors have swirled around the idea that developer Sledgehammer Games would be working on this installment.
There haven't been any official announcements about what to expect from the new game, but it's possible if Sledgehammer Games takes point, Raven Software may assist as well.
Other rumors have stated that Call of Duty 2021 might be a triumphant return to form for the series, with another studio taking over.
After heading back to the past with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, it could be time to head back to a modern setting.
If that's the case, Activision has several directions it can go with the new Call of Duty.
The one thing we have to ask, however, is will it remain mired in the present or look to the future?
And will we see Treyarch or Infinity Ward working to bring the next phase to eager players?
We'll have to keep an eye out for any news that comes out of Activision going forward, because a new Call of Duty will undoubtedly be a high point for 2021.
