Battle Pass Trailer
Call of Duty Season 2 is nearly here, and the hype is very real.
Treyarch have already given us an awesome gameplay trailer, but we now have a Season 2 Battle Pass Trailer as well!
Check it out below to learn about the rewards you can earn this season in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone.
Start Time and Pre-Load
Before the official start of Season 2, Treyarch is pushing the Black Ops Cold War and Warzone updates a little early in an effort to make sure everyone is ready.
A rolling update for Black Ops Cold War is scheduled between 21:00 PT and 23:00 PT on February 23 - and one is due for Warzone at the same same time on February 24.
This means the updates will go live at 00:00 on February 24-25 in EST, and 05:00 in GMT.
Black Ops Cold War Season 2 will then go live at 02:00 ET and 07:00 GMT on February 25.
This means that pre-loading might not be available to everyone like previous updates.
Season Two Roadmap Reveals All
Treyarch has shared the Black Ops Cold War Season Two Roadmap and it is chock-full of content. Below, we're going to run through everything that's on the way.
Below, you can check out the roadmap in full before we go through everything included.
As we saw in the Season Two Cinematic Trailer, there's going to be a few new Operators coming to Black Ops Cold War in Season 2.
Naga, a Warsaw Pact operative working with Stitch and Perseus, is coming as a part of the season Two Battle Pass.
On top of this, Samantha Maxis is on the way via an Operator Bundle available at the start of the season.
Wolf and Rivas are both joining NATO in separate Operator Bundles later in the season.
Like Season One, Treyarch is expanding the Black Ops Cold War armoury with a few new weapons that are on the way throughout the next season.
The FARA 83 Assault Rifle and LC10 Sub Machinegun are both available for free throughout the season at Battle Pass Tiers 15 and 31 respectively.
In addition to this, the ZRG 20mm Sniper Rifle, R1 Shadowhunter Crossbow, Machete, and E Tool are all also on the way throughout Black Ops Cold War Season 2.
These weapons will be available via in-game Challenges, or if you unlock a blueprint for the relevant weapon.
Black Ops Cold War was criticised at launch for its lack of multiplayer maps when compared to older titles. I guess now we know why there was so few available.
Black Ops Cold War Season 2 is introducing at least three more maps to the game's online modes.
Apocalypse and Golova are both 6v6 maps, with Golova being large enough to be on Multi-Team playlists. Gunfight and Face Off are also getting Mansion, a map based on the "End of The Line" campaign mission!
Apocalypse is available at the start of the season and the other two will be on the way a little bit after, most-0liekly in the mid-season refresher update.
Outbreak Is Going To Blow Minds
Treyarch's large-scale Zombies mode is finally on the way! Outbreak promises to be the best Zombies experience yet as it marries the large maps of Fireteam: Dirty Bomb with COD Zombies.
Featuring new enemies, challenges, team-based objectives and intel, Outbreak will take you across the Ural Mountains on an adventure like no other.
There's a new batch of vehicles available in Outbreak too, which seems to confirm the scale of the new game mode. The Sedan and Light Truck join the existing Black Ops Cold War Motor Pool in Season Two. We're not sure if there are any choppers though...
Zombies Skills Are Getting An Upgrade
The new Zombies experience isn't coming without a bit more of an update.
There's now going to be two new Skill Tiers available for players to unlock with new classifications of Aetherium Crystals that are only available in Outbreak and the higher rounds of Firebase Z and Die Maschine.
In addition to this, Shatter Blast is being added as a brand-new Ammo Mod for Black Ops Cold War Zombies and Frenzied Guard is a new Field Guide aiming to shake things up further.
Warzone Information Is On The Way
With all this information, we still don't actually know a whole lot about Warzone's Outbreak Event that is due to start on February 25th.
We know it will tie into the new Outbreak mode coming to Black Ops Cold War, but that's about it?
The Soviet ship Vodianoy is approaching the Port of Verdansk and there's something beginning to rumble deep underground... However, that's all we know until closer to launch.
A lot of people think it's going to play out similarly to the Haunting of Verdansk event. So... You've been warned.
In addition to this, though, we know that Exfiltration and Rebirth Island Resurgence Extreme are both coming as alternate playlists in Black Ops Cold War Season 2.
Exfiltration is all about grabbing and holding the Exfil Radio to call in a chopper. The last team standing wins, too, though if no one can grab the objective.
Rebirth Island Resurgence Extreme is the same as the current playlist on Rebirth Island except for this time the player count is being raised to 90! Expect chaos to follow.

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War Season 2 is almost upon us!
Treyarch has pitched this year as the biggest year in the franchise's history and they appear to be keeping to their word.
Season 1 has seen a whole load of new content added to the game, including new weapons and Operators, and Season 2 appears to be following suit.
Below, we've got everything you need to know about Black Ops Cold War Season 2.
LATEST - Season 2 Cinematic Trailer
We're not too far away from the launch of Black Ops Cold War Season 2 and Treyarch have released a Cinematic Trailer for their next Call of Duty content drop.
The Cinematic Trailer follows Woods and his team in Laos, with the events seemingly happening simultaneously to what we saw with Adler and Stitch in the Season One Reloaded Cinematic Trailer.
Although it continues to develop the narrative in an interesting way, we're more excited about that fact that we see three possible new Operators in the trailer.
Firstly, we have this character. He is still unnamed as of writing, but many fans think this could be the return of Bowman.
However, this seems unlikely, though not impossible. Modern Warfare brought Ghost back, right?
Secondly, we see "Naga". We don't know much about this character, but only that he is working with Stitch and his splinter group of the Warsaw Pact.
Adler is on the way to Verdansk, for some reason, and Naga has been tasked with making the "good guys" think he cares about the Nova-6 supply lines.
Thirdly, we see another new female Operator. Woods and his mysterious friend link up with them on the ground.
She's already in the thick of a fight when Woods arrives, which raises more questions than it answeres. In addition to this, she's also wielding a crossbow.
Is this coming to Black Ops Cold War in Season Two?
Below, you can check out the Cinematic Trailer for yourself:
Outbreak On The Way?
Recently, we've seen a lot of leaks coming regarding two new Zombies-themed modes to Call of Duty games.
Reportedly, a Zombies Outbreak mode will usher in a new Warzone map in the lead-up to Black Ops Cold War Season 2.
Then, a new open-world Zombies mode will be added to Black Ops Cold War as a continuation of this storyline.
Do you think we could see two new Zombies modes in the next couple of weeks? Would you want another limited-time event similar to The Haunting of Verdansk in Warzone?
Release Date
Although we don't have an exact date, we do have an almost certain day when Black Ops Cold War Season 2 will begin.
Black Ops Cold War Season 1 will end on February 24. This means, if there aren't any hiccups, Season 2 will start either on February 24 or February 25.
However, there could also be a period of "down-time" in terms of the Battle Pass and the new content. This could mean that the new season won't properly begin until early March.
Pre-Launch Cinematic
Unusually, Treyarch released a pre-launch cinematic recently that follows on from the Season 1 Launch Cinematic Trailer that introduced the world to Stich and Zenya.
In this clip, we see an immediate continuation of the first trailer. Stich and his men open fire on Adler and his, showcasing their rivalry.
It may only be thirty seconds, but it's an intense thirty seconds. The trailer also seems to spell the demise of newly-introduced Zenya, which is a shame.
Below, you can check it out for yourself and muse on what might happen to Adler next season:
Battle Pass
We think it's safe to say that Black Ops Cold War Season 2 will be introducing a new Battle Pass.
With Black Ops Cold War, Modern Warfare, and Warzone having combined progression it would be nice to see a Battle Pass that offers a mix of rewards.
However, if Season 1 is anything to go by, it will continue to be fully Black Ops-based content coming.
New Weapons
One thing that fans always look forward to with each new season is the possibility of more weapons being added to the game.
Thankfully, if leaks are to be believed, Black Ops Cold War Season 2 is going to deliver on that front and there are four new weapons in the works.

Files for a new Sniper Rifle, the NTW-20, and a new SMG, the AI-LC10 have been found in-game.
There's also going to be two new Melee Weapons, much like Black Ops Cold War Season 1.
The E-Tool, a folding shovel, and the Machete are both apparently coming to Treyarch's shooter in the next few weeks.
Although there is no information confirming when these are coming, we would expect there to be two dropped at the start of the season and two in the mid-season refresher update.
There are also reports a Crossbow is coming to Black Ops Cold War in Season 2 from WarzoneNewz, however, there is again no word on when exactly.
New Operators
If you've not finished the Firebase Z Easter Egg, we're sorry about the spoilers.
It seems very-likely that Samantha Maxis is coming to Black Ops Cold War Season 2 as at least one of the new Operators being added.
READ MORE: Is Samantha Maxis Coming To Warzone?
She features heavily in the narrative woven into Firebase Z and her appearances in both the Announcement Cinematic and in-game cutscenes all seem to point towards it.
Again, TailsDoll711 has reportedly data-mined information that Maxis is coming as an Operator. However, there is no word on whether this will be in the Battle Pass or as an Operator Bundle drop.
New Multiplayer Maps
Black Ops Cold War launched with a couple of maps missing, that is, if you compare the game's line-up to the average number.
However, throughout Season 1, Treyarch added a couple of new maps and we don't think Season 2 will be any different.
This will most likely be a mix of regular-sized maps and smaller Gunfight maps, as was the theme with Modern Warfare.
Fans are speculating Firing Range could be on the way after both this map and Express were uncovered in the game's files.
Zombies Content
This is the one that we may find a little disappointment in.
Firebase Z was slated to launch with Black Ops Cold War Season 2 but was released early.
However, now, does that mean we don't have any more Zombies maps coming in the semi-near future?

Treyarch is always tight-lipped about Zombies Maps until they feel the time is right and we don't expect anything to change going into Season 2.
Before Firebase Z, TGR did discuss a map based in Yamantau... But, there's nothing to confirm that this will be coming in Black Ops Cold War Season 2.

We may not get a new map, but there's no saying we won't get another Perk, or a playlist update, in the meantime. Double Tap and Mule Kick are both reportedly on their way at some point.
Everything Else
In terms of all the other changes, this is something that's difficult to predict.
Treyarch is consistently introducing minor changes to the weapon tuning and gameplay mechanics and Season 2 won't be any different.
In terms of playlist updates, this is again a tough one. Capture The Flag is one mode that has been highly requested by fans and could make an appearance in the game.
Prop Hunt will most likely have it's map-pool expanded further and we expect there to be some more variations on Fire Team: Dirty Bomb to be introduced.
For the most up-to-date information, the Treyarch blog is updated with all the latest Patch Notes.
