Is Bel'Veth as Strong as She Seems?

Bel'Veth brought back the darkness of the Void as she is the first void-based champion to be released in over four years. She is a scary opponent with the ability to shapeshift into a manta-ray-like void creature.

Since her release, many summoners have been cheesing the system by pulling off crazy things with her like almost winning a game in 12 minutes or an attack speed that would scare even the most high-profiling Draven.

The conversations between summoners are wondering whether she is broken or not, with polarising answers being met. So, let's look. Exactly how broken is Bel'Veth?

Low win rate

Bel'Veth currently is sitting with a win rate of just 38%. Leagues below other junglers such as Nocturne at 50.86% or 57.1% win rate with Nunu and Willump.

Multiple online clips showed her winning in 1v4s, ganking a whole load and stacking up kills. Players were excited to see a strong jungle champion entering the mix.

However, Bel'Veth's difficulty held her back from fulfilling the potential she has. Her abilities have an extensive list of reading which is not only tricky to understand but also hard to remember. Due to this, her win rates are shockingly low. However, as people get more accustomed to her, this may change.

The almost 12-minute game

A recent video on YouTube showcased exactly what she can do when played by the right person. Around eight minutes into this league game, her team were already steamrolling ahead of the enemy.

This was a perfect position for Bel'Veth to take the herald. So she did and released Herald around the 9:30 mark. Her true form meant that all minions killed turned into her voidlings which helped to push and get the first two towers in-game.

As the enemies were busy, Bel'Veth and Darius managed to reach the Nexus turret before being pushed back by the enemy team. It seems that her voidlings are the strongest asset she has, they can even take two tower shots.

Bel'Veths scaling

Bel'Veth brings a scary amount of scaling to the game. Late game, if built to focus on her attack speed, the damage numbers she reaches are insane. It's also funny to watch her slap down minions.

With items that power up her auto attacks, the speed she puts them out makes her a terrifying foe when it comes to a team fight.

However, this scaling can easily be disrupted by having a poor early game, when falling off, it is hard for Bel'Veth to climb out of a rut. CC is also a factor that makes her weak although this can sometimes be avoided by using Void Surge.

Overall, Bel'Veth is a menacing foe if enough is known about her to play her right. Otherwise, she can be misused and lacks the ability to help carry a team. Think you can do better than 12 minutes?
