Ubisoft has provided a brand new roadmap for the upcoming Assassin's Creed Valhalla Update and future content. There haven't been any major updates or additions since the Siege of Paris DLC dropped.
Will the upcoming Valhalla update or content additions what is there to look forward to?
Assassin's Creed Valhalla Title Updates
We now know the date for the next Valhalla title update which will land on Tuesday, 7 September. No details are currently known beyond the release date. We expect that upon release, patch notes should be available for the update
Previous title updates have added small bits of content but mostly look to fix any stability and general game issues. Ubisoft has promised to support Valhalla with updates through to the release of the next Assassin's Creed game, which is expected to release in 2022.
New Free Content Updates
As part of the roadmap, we also know about the next two free content updates coming to Valhalla. The River Raid Map Pack #2 will arrive alongside the title update due on 7 September. This will add more raiding opportunities to the game world so you can pillage your way to more rewards to upgrade your settlements.
We will also receive the Discovery Tour: Viking Age expansion in Fall 2021. The Discovery Tour modes have proven very popular from an education standpoint. They aim to teach the player more about the various aspects of the historical settings of each game. The mode was introduced back in Origins.
While the Assassin's Creed game does not claim to be historically accurate, this addition is a great tool for teaching players about the real-life settings of their games. We cant wait to learn more about Viking-era England and how Valhalla has been inspired by true to life history.
