Apex Legends' new battle royale map isn't all "sun and games", despite the tropical setting. Storm Point has a lot of hidden dangers and it looks like it might best Kings Canyon, World's Edge, and Olympus to become the best Apex Legends map yet! Here's everything you need to know about the new map coming to Apex Legends in Season 11: Storm Point.

WILDLIFE NESTS - Storm Point introduces wildlife

If the Apex Games weren't deadly enough, Respawn Entertainment has thrown wildlife into the mixer with Season 11's new map - Storm Point. These deadly creatures are going to need to be dealt with if you want to keep yourself alive - here's what we know so far...

Wildlife Nests

  • New map features exclusive to Storm Point;
  • Static and finite, meaning they only spawn in certain locations per game;
  • Boundary-based, meaning wildlife should only attack when nearby;

WATCH OUT - You're going to need to deal with these quickly

Wildlife

  • Prowlers - aggressive, pack-based hunters;
  • Spiders - quick, agile, with a ranged attack;
  • Flyers - Independent and peaceful, until provoked;

Storm Point is going to be one of the best maps we've seen so far and there's a lot to look forward to when Season 11 drops next week.

Everything we know about the new map so far...

Officially, we don't know a lot about the new map expected to debut in Season 11. Unofficially, we know a little bit...

The new map has been referred to as "Tropics" for quite some time by Apex Legends data miners and leakers - it's going to feature strange plants and sunny sands in a location that should fit perfectly in the varied selection of Apex Legends maps.

GarretLeaks has shared the following, confirming that vehicles will be appearing in some capacity on the new Season 11 map.

In addition to this, it's rumoured that this new map will be located on Gaea - the home planet of Rampart, Crypto, and Caustic. This would suggest that we're going to get a little more exploration into these Legends' backstories - It'll be interesting to see where Ash fits into all of this.

When does Season 11 start & when will we find out more?

Apex Legends' Season 11 update is a little way out - however, the Season 11 launch trailer is due to drop in a matter of hours. As you can see in the YouTube Premiere below, the Season 11 launch trailer is expected to drop at the following times:
