What are Apex Legends Heirlooms?
Heirlooms in Apex Legends are Mythic-tier cosmetic items that change the skin of your melee weapon. A new heirloom is released at every collection event, excluding the 1st and 3rd-anniversary Collections.
All Heirlooms come with Intro-quips and Banner poses, so that if you do manage to pick up the melee kill you can flex on your opponent even harder.
How to get Apex Legends Heirlooms
Heirlooms cab be obtained during the collection event in which they are released by collecting all 24 collectibles. After the event's conclusion, they move to the in-game shop, where they can be purchased for 150 Heirloom shards.
In order to collect Heirloom shards, you'll first need to open up some Apex Packs. These can be obtained by levelling up, ranking up the battle pass, or simply purchasing them with the game's premium currency, Apex coins.
Unfortunately, if you've missed the collection event you'll have to get extremely lucky, as each Apex pack has only a 1% chance of dropping Heirloom shards, so make sure you make out your battle pass just in case.
For those committed enough to the grind though, Respawn entertainment has a solution. If you've opened 499 Apex packs with no luck, then number 500 is guaranteed to drop you 150 Heirloom shards, the exact amount required to purchase an Heirloom from the shop.
So if you desperately need octane's butterfly knife, or Pathfinder's beloved boxing gloves, keep trying those Apex packs, as the shards you need could be just around the corner.
