Apex Legends' Legacy update introduced a new game mode - Arenas - and changed the way we play Respawn Entertainment's battle royale forever. It's essentially a whole new game inside of Apex and we have the latest information about it below.
LATEST - New Arenas Map Leaked
We know we just got Skull Town as an Arenas map in Apex Legends (for the duration of the Genesis Collection Event), but there's a new locale to discuss courtesy of GarretLeaks, a notable Apex Legends data miner and leaker. "Overflow" is on the way to Apex Legends' Arenas mode and it looks insane!
You can check out our first look at the new map below:
In addition to this, GarretLeaks shared a deeper overview of how the map is going to look in-game. We know this doesn't have any textures yet, but it's one of the more solid leaks we've seen...
We don't know exactly when "Overflow" is going to be added to Apex Legends' Arenas mode, but it could arrive in one of two future updates.
We could see "Overflow" added to the Arenas map rotation around July 13th, with the newly-leaked Thrillseekers Arenas Event. On the flip side, "Overflow" could be being saved until the start of Season 10 in August. Only time will tell...
Apex Legends' First Arenas Gameplay Footage
Respawn Entertainment has finally shown us some gameplay footage from the upcoming Legacy Update and the new permanent game mode: Arenas.
It's going to be a 3v3 experience that features custom-built maps across a number of key Apex Legends locations.
In a similar fashion to CS: GO, Rogue Company, Valorant, and more round-based shooters... Apex Legends' Arena Mode has a buying system at the start of each round.
With these, you can buy weapons, upgrade them, and save for better equipment as you earn it!
In each round, it's essentially an elimination battle, much like the games above. There will be Loot Boxes with Consumables in and a singular Drop Pod with three weapons will spawn in the middle of each round.
The winning team will be the first to three with a two-win margin. However, it goes into Sudden Death mode if the teams reach a 4-4 deadlock. In Sudden Death, it really is a deathmatch. Ash isn't going to make things easy...
The trailer below also showcases the new Bocek Bow and some footage of Valkyrie, the new Legend. Check it all out here:
All Five Arenas Launch Maps
Apex Legends' new mode is going to have two completely new locations and three existing locations features in its rotation of playable Arenas.
Party Crasher re-introduces Mirage's Party Voyage (or what's left of it anyway) and lets the Legends fight amongst its wreckage.
Phase Runner is a hidden "experimental zone at the peak of a mountain" which features some Olympus-like architecture you may be familiar with.
Then, there's also Artillery from Kings Canyon, Thermal Station from World's Edge, and Golden Gardens from Olympus. Ash clearly thought these three places were well-suited for a deathmatch!

Apex Legends Legacy Update Recap
The Apex Legends Legacy Update is going to be introducing a lot of new stuff to the popular game. Respawn Entertainment is not slowing down, that's for sure.
Firstly, there's the new Apex Legend. Valkyrie, the daughter of a Titan pilot from Titanfall 2, has a lot to prove and she knows she can be the Apex Champion. She's joining the roster from May 4th.
In addition to this, there's the new weapon: The Bocek Bow. This is unlike anything Apex Legends has seen before and we're expecting the introduction of a new Ammo Type to accommodate for this too.
Furthermore, there are changes coming to Olympus as it's being infested with some kind of dangerous growth. We don't know exactly what's changing, but we know that it'll change the way you play the game.
