AEW Fight Forever has been scarce with official news, but listings going live across several websites have changed that.
We've got details on everything that's just leaked including our first look at the AEW Fight Forever cover.
AEW Fight Forever cover art, platforms, and more LEAKED
After weeks of tiny details slipping out via various reports or brief glimpses of gameplay footage, the floodgates may be opening for AEW Fight Forever.
New listings have just gone live on Amazon showing AEW Fight Forever available for pre order on several platforms, but that's not all.
Perhaps the most exciting news for some fans, an Xtralife listing appears to have leaked the AEW Fight Forever cover as seen below:
While this remains unconfirmed until an official reveal is made by AEW Games, it's unlikely they'd have created a full mock-up like this that isn't intended to be the final cover.
The Amazon listings for the title show it's expected to be released on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
While the listings have a placeholder release date of December 31, 2022 showing, that's not expected to be the actual launch.
As of now, a September 2022 release window as reported earlier this year by Fightful Select still seems very possible.
The official product description on Amazon is as follows:
"Developed by YUKE’s Co, Ltd., creators of numerous, multi-million unit selling wrestling games, AEW: Fight Forever combines that nostalgic arcade-wrestler feel with innovative All Elite Wrestling finishers and tandem offensive moves. All Elite Wrestling is currently taking TNT and TBS networks by storm every week with their Rampage and Dynamite shows, featuring some of the biggest legends to enter the ring plus a stable of brand new, high-flying, AEW talent. AEW: Fight Forever brings the best of the best from that talent roster together in one game! Online co-op wrestling is going completely next level in Fight Forever with Tag Team matches that feature sequences of team maneuvers performed with simple commands. A deep career mode, wrestler customization, signature AEW arenas, multiple match types and more match types than you can count, including some good ol’ fashioned, unsanctioned fun, all await!"
In addition, the "About this item" section for the game on Amazon had the following bullet points highlighting features:
- Combines nostalgic arcade wrestling feel with innovative All Elite Wrestling finishers and offensive moves
- Talent roster combines biggest legends to enter the ring plus brand new, high-flying AEW stars!
- Single, tag-team, 3-way, 4-way, ladder, Casino Battle Royale, Falls Count Anywhere, Unsanctioned Lights Out, Exploding Barbed Wire Death and online co-op multi-player matches!
- Online co-op multi-player!
- Tag team matches feature a sequence of team maneuvers performed with simple commands
Again, we're still waiting for official press release reveals from AEW Games, but online store listings like this usually ring true.
New Screenshots from AEW Fight Forever
All our glimpses of the game so far have been via YouTube reveals by AEW Games, and most of them were only the briefest glimpse.
However, the Xtralife listing that also leaked the cover included five high quality screenshots of gameplay that no one has seen before now.
Let's take a look at all five of them here and break down what we're seeing:
The above image may be the prettiest look at in-game models we've seen so far, and we're seeing that crispness in action rather than at the entrance ramp like the high-quality shots of Nyla Rose and Kris Statlander that were revealed some time ago.
AEW Replay is a key thing to note here, as the overlay likely means they've built in a replay effect for the game when hitting big moves.
Our first great look at weapons combat can be seen above with "Hangman" Adam Page slamming Moxley down on a ladder.
The heads-up display on-screen also gets a first reveal here along with the visible count on the screen, and the "DANGER" marker could mean a character that's lost their energy or health bar.
Finally, this image confirms Abadon, Thunder Rosa, and Yuka Sakazaki will be in the game, and we can see the "SIGNATURE" and "WEAPON BUFF" icons on screen.
Thunder Rosa is also seen using a fire extinguisher here as a weapon on Abadon, and it's definitely whittling away their health with the impact.
