Crypto & Rampart get new skins in latest Rewards Track

The next major in-game event for Apex Legends is here and Mad Maggie's War Games promise to keep you on your toes with two weeks of chaos. Here's everything you need to know.

LATEST - The War Games Are Here

The new Apex Legends event is live right now and we're kicking things off in Kings Canyon with the Second Chance LTM!

This quite literally gives you a second chance in-game, offering every player a free respawn. You can check out more details about the rest of the Limited-Time Modes coming to Apex Legends in the sections below.

Mad Maggie's War Games introduces five new LTMs (in the form of Playlist Takeovers), a new batch of recoloured cosmetics, and two weeks of chaos ahead of Season 9.

Challenge Stacking

If you're worried about missing out on valuable time earning Battle Pass levels when you're trying to complete the War Games Rewards Track, don't fret.

The Challenges actually stack and there's no reason why you can't do several at once for both sets of challenges.

For example, if you have a standard challenge that needs you to deal damage with a shotgun and a War Games Rewards Track challenge that needs you to deal damage with a shotgun... All the shotgun damage you do deal out will count to both challenges!

So, it's worth taking a moment before you jump into the new Playlist Takeovers to see what things you need to be trying to do in-game. It could pay off.

Unusual Challenges?

The War Games Event is right around the corner and we hope you're ready for it!

Like other events, the War Games Event is going to introduce a series of limited-time challenges that you can complete for a chance to earn Rewards Track points.

More often than not, these are fairly similar to the standard array of challenges. This means you should be earning Battle Pass Levels alongside the Rewards Track!

HOT DROP - Ultra Zones would be the perfect place to quickly complete challenges

However, due to the nature of the event and the unusual Playlist Takeover... We could be seeing a few more experimental Rewards Track Challenges for the next couple of weeks. We won't know what they are for sure just yet, though. These are often a randomised selection for each individual and change daily.

War Games Event

Firstly, let's talk about the War Games event and what this actually means for Apex Legends players.

War Games is the next Playlist Takeover that's introducing a rotation of five different event-limited playlist modifiers over the next two weeks.

These are as follows:

  • Shield Regen: Shield regenerates throughout
  • Killing Time: Each time a Legend dies, the round timer is reduced
  • Auto Banners: You automatically pick up fallen Banners
  • Second Chance: Every Legend gets one free respawn
  • Ultra Zones: Loot hotspots appear throughout Kings Canyon

Of course, there's also a bunch of new Legend skins for Pathfinder, Wraith, Lifeline, Mirage, Bloodhound and Gibraltar. On top of this, there's a nice batch of limited-time cosmetics to get in your War Games Apex Packs.

You can check out the announcement trailer below:

That being said, you can also get a few free rewards in the Apex Legends War Games Event Rewards Track that's coming alongside the event.

Like always, you'll be able to unlock up to 1,000 points for the Rewards Track every day through a series of refreshing Challenges.
