On January 14,@PlayStationSize posted that an Apex Legends PS5 file had been uploaded and was coming in at 80GB without patches.
When it'll release, we don't know, but it shouldn't be far away now. Keep an eye out in the coming weeks.
When does Season 12 start in Apex Legends?
Apex Legends' next seasonal update is expected to drop at the start of February - February 8th, 2022, to be exact. This date hasn't been confirmed, so take it with a pinch of salt. However, this is when the current Apex Legends season is expected to end and in the past, we have seen a new season start immediately after the current one ends.
The unwritten rule of thumb is that Apex Legends seasons are three months long - if we don't see an update on February 8th, we'll be due one the week after.
At the moment, we don't know what to expect. The new Stories from the Outlands short is rumoured to be based on Bangalore's brother - an IMC pilot who is presumed dead. However, Season 12 leaks suggest that Mad Maggie could be playing an important part in the developing narrative.
It wouldn't be unheard of for Respawn Entertainment to combine the two stories, but it does feel unlikely. For the most part, "Stories from the Outlands" shorts focus on new characters and their relationships to the Apex Games and Apex Legends' lore. Only time will tell which character this short will be about - you can keep an eye on the YouTube Premiere below:
In the weeks leading to Apex Legends Season 12, we should learn more about what to expect. We'll keep you updated on any news regarding the season's start date, too.
