Apex Legends Season 11: Latest map rotation proving unpopular with fans

Apex Legends' next season is almost upon us and there's a new set of Patch Notes to look over between now and when it is due to launch. There's a lot going on in Season 11 and the new map rotation being put into place in both Arenas and Battle Royale is causing some controversy in the community. Here's why...

Season 11's map rotation has been announced

Apex Legends' Season 11 map rotation is as follows...

  • Storm Point
  • World's Edge

That's it. We're getting two maps for Season 11 - at least at launch - and it's safe to say people aren't as happy as they could be. Apex Legends has the chance to do something different, having four maps in rotation at once, but it seems like that isn't to be.

" For the Escape update the map rotation will be back down to 2 maps; Storm Point and World’s Edge. With Storm Point being a whole new map, we want to make sure players have plenty of time to master the new arena."

In addition to this, Arenas is unusually removing all "BR locations" from this map rotation. This means you're going to be stuck with the custom made Arenas map from now on.

A few Apex Legends fans aren't happy with these changes...

However, others think it's a great idea...

When does Apex Legends Season 11 begin?

Apex Legends' next season of content is due to start as soon as the current season is over - this makes it quite easy to work out when it's due. Looking at previous updates, we should see the new content - including the changes discussed above - implemented from the following times:

  • 08:00 November 2nd PST
  • 11:00 November 2nd EST
  • 15:00 November 2nd GMT

There's going to be a new battle royale map to fight on, a new SMG to check out, and Ash is finally joining the Apex Games to vie for Apex Predator. We're also going to get a new Ranked season for Arenas and Battle Royale alongside a new Battle Pass.

Is a new meta on the way? We know Ash is going to make her mark but this could be another important change for the way Apex Legends is going to play moving forwards.
