We're two years into Apex Legends now and it is thriving! Respawn Entertainment's title is going from strength to strenght, most-recently thanks to Season 9's huge changes. Now, though, another Collection Event is on the horizon and it promises to be a good one.
LATEST - "Genesis Update" Release Time & Size
Apex Legends' next title update, which's going to add a lot of the Genesis Collection Event content to the game, is only around 10GB in size. If you're playing on a PlayStation console, you should be able to download it now.
If you're playing on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, or PC... You might have to wait a little bit. The "Genesis Update" should be available at the following times on June 29th:
- 10:00 PST
- 13:00 EST
- 18:00 BST
You might find the file size varies slightly on your chosen platform, but it shouldn't stray too much from the ~10GB PlayStation players are finding.
Release Date & Time Revealed?
Apex Legends' next Collection Event is due to start on June 29th. We got that much information from the trailer, which you can see below:
As expected, this doesn't reveal anything about the specifics of the update. When is the Genesis Collection Event due to release for Apex Legends specifically?
Notable Apex Legends leaker, Shrugtal, has suggested that it will be dropping at 09:00 PST / 12:00 EST / 17:00 BST on June 29th. This is the usual time for Apex Legends' updates, so it doesn't seem like an unbelievable claim.
What Is It?
This new event is all about going back in time. You can finally find Skull Town in arenas, as fans have asked for a long time. As well as this, Kings Canyon is reverting back to how it looked in season 0 and World's Edge is returning to how it looked in season 3, a fun little throwback.
This event is a celebration of everything the game has achieved over the last two years and they're celebrating in style.
New Items
During this period, you can expect to find brand new skins and all sorts over on the item shop. These include new skins for Crypto, Loba, Caustic and a tonne more that you can find right here.
The rewards track has made its way back this time with whole new skins for the Charge rifle and EVA-8 shotgun. There seems to be a lot on offer here for any type of player.
