Early April is generally the time of the year for Overwatch's annual Anniversary event. We're getting an event in 2022, but not in quite the way we're used to. Called Overwatch Anniversary Remix 2022, it's not the full event we'd usually expect, instead featuring changed version of what's come before. As we count down to it, here's what you need to know about the Overwatch Anniversary Remix 2022 start date and time, as well as what skins will feature for you to grab.

Overwatch Anniversary Remix 2022 will kick off on April 5 and an update should go live at 2pm ET/7pm BST.
Most Overwatch events kick off at at that time, and we expect that to be no different for Anniversary Remix 2022.
Overwatch will tweet once it is live in-game, so keep an eye out for it.
Skins
Since the celebration of the classic events in Overwatch, the skins are also new versions of some of the classic Legendary skins that have come alongside those events.
While they'll be new skins, they'll look pretty familiar to many.
All of these "remixed" Legendary skins will be available when Volume 1 goes live. Here is the full list of skins.

What This Means for Other Events
As we said, this Remix event ushers in a new era for Overwatch as we get closer to the release of Overwatch 2 and that means things are changing for all events coming up.
This is what it means, according to Blizzard's own reveal of the new Remix event:
"This does mean that events like Archives, standard Anniversary, and Summer Games will not make a return this year. Instead, the Anniversary Remix events will be introducing a new set of variants in place of the normal event schedule, all of which will transfer to Overwatch 2 along with all previously earned skins, sprays, and player icons."
Therefore, while event will continue to happen, with skins to earn and challenges to complete, they won't be in the same way you know them from previous years.
