The Mandalorian game could be an Xbox exclusive

The Xbox Series X|S has been slow out of the gate when it comes to exclusive titles, with its key launch exclusive, Halo Infinite, being delayed indefinitely shortly before release.

From towards the end of 2021 into 2022, we should see this change, with plenty of releases making their way to market, but Microsoft will have a lot of ground to make up as the PS5 has a strong year 1 lineup.

But, a new report suggests a game is in development that could bring many gamers to Xbox and provide the system with a strong exclusive title.

The Mandalorian Is Coming To Xbox?

According to a new report, Star Wars: The Mandalorian could be coming to Xbox as an exclusive title.

This isn't the first Lucasfilm game to be exclusive to Xbox, it was recently revealed that a new Indiana Jones game will be coming to Xbox Series X|S.

It has also been reported that EA has lost the exclusive license for Star Wars when their current deal ends, but it is interesting that Lucasfilm has decided to tie some games to one console rather than making them multi-platform.

This is due to Bethesda taking the helm to develop the Indiana Jones game, and presumably the Mandalorian game too.

Bethesda was acquired by Microsoft earlier this year for $7.5 billion.

It does seem to be on a case by case basis as the rumoured Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order 2 is expected to be multi-platform, so it seems that Microsoft hasn't acquired the Star Wars license.

There is also a rumour that Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is set to receive a remake, this game was also an Xbox exclusive back in 2003 on the original Xbox, but nothing has been confirmed as to whether the game will once again be exclusive to Xbox, or that it is even in development, although many signs do point to it.

While the Xbox Series X|S may not have many exclusives right now, it will likely be a sleeper console that is overlooked in favour of the PS5.

There are many games set to release over the coming years that have the potential to be fantastic games, including Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 5/Motorsport 8, Perfect Dark, Fable, Avowed, and many more.

I highly recommend all gamers grab a new Xbox console, even if it is just an Xbox Series S.

All exclusive titles, which would include Indiana Jones and The Mandalorian, will release on day one on Xbox Game Pass, adding to an already extensive library of approximately 400 titles.

Even just as a Game Pass machine, the Xbox Series S is worth every penny.
