We've already made our predictions, but how accurate were they? Here is every game coming to Games With Gold in April 2021.
LATEST - Games With Gold Official Line-Up
Major Nelson, also known as Larry Hryb, has once-again announced the Games With Gold games for April 2021. They're not bad, but not what we predicted so that's annoying.
Still, here's what you can get for free and when you can get it:
- Vikings: Wolves of Midgard (April 1 - April 30)
- Truck Racing Championship (April 16 - May 15)
- Dark Void Xbox 360 (April 1 - April 15)
- Hard Corps: Uprising Xbox 360 (April 16 - April 30)
It seems like we were way off with our predictions, but that isn't a bad thing! Truck Racing Championship looks like a lot of fun and Dark Void is a classic!
There's also Outriders to look forward to if you're a Game Pass member and Warframe is getting a free next-gen upgrade!
Another Free Game Is Coming In April
It might not be a Games With Gold announcement, but popular free-to-play phenomenon Warframe is coming to the Xbox Series X|S next month.

As it stands, the game is available to play on next-gen consoles via backwards compatibility. However, the next-gen upgrade that is due to release with Update 30 promises all the enhancements you'd expect from a next-gen title.
The release of this next-gen version of Warframe coincides with the Year 8 Anniversary for the game. The Call of the Temperstarii and free customisation options are coming next month too.
If Not Ryse, Then What?
Although we think Ryse: Son of Rome would make a fantastic Games With Gold title, it actually already was included in the Games With Gold service way back in April 2017!
Microsoft isn't known for their repeated titles, either, so we're not sure Ryse: Son of Rome is going to buck that trend in the next couple of weeks.
With this in mind, what could we see?
We think Life is Strange 2 could be a great one to include following the announcement of the new LiS title at last week's Square Enix Presents.
The first Life is Strange title was included with Games With Gold way back in 2015. Its episodic nature would also almost make it a money-making tool for Xbox if they decided to only release one or two episodes with GWG.
We're not sure how the fans would react to that one, though.
Ryse - Xbox One
"Journey to the heart of the Roman Empire and experience the brutality of battle like never before as "Ryse: Son of Rome" comes to PC with support for glorious 4K resolution. Continuing Crytek's legacy for groundbreaking games, Ryse pushes PC hardware to its limits whilst drawing players deep into the bloody drama of ancient Rome.
“Ryse: Son of Rome” is an immersive action-adventure story of struggle, brutality and heroism. It follows a fearless Roman soldier named Marius Titus who joins the army to avenge the slaying of his family and emerges as a hero who must fight to save the Roman Empire.
“Ryse: Son of Rome” presents a cinematic re-creation of the Roman Empire, its people, conflicts and landscapes in breathtaking detail and brings the brutality and intensity of Roman warfare to life in visceral detail."
Goat Simulator - Xbox One
"Goat Simulator is the latest in goat simulation technology, bringing next-gen goat simulation to YOU. You no longer have to fantasize about being a goat, your dreams have finally come true!
Gameplay-wise, Goat Simulator is all about causing as much destruction as you possibly can as a goat. It has been compared to an old-school skating game, except instead of being a skater, you're a goat, and instead of doing tricks, you wreck stuff. Destroy things with style, such as doing a backflip while headbutting a bucket through a window, and you'll earn even more points! Or you could just give Steam Workshop a spin and create your own goats, levels, missions, and more! When it comes to goats, not even the sky is the limit, as you can probably just bug through it and crash the game."
Brink - Xbox 360
"Brink is an immersive first-person shooter that blends single-player, co-op, and multiplayer gameplay into one seamless experience, allowing you to develop your character whether playing alone, with your friends, or against others online.
You decide the combat role you want to assume in the world of Brink as you fight to save yourself and mankind’s last refuge.
Brink offers a compelling mix of dynamic battlefields, extensive customization options, and an innovative control system that will keep you coming back for more."
BloodRayne 2 - Xbox
"BloodRayne is a dhampir, born from the unnatural union of vampire and human. Blessed with the powers of a vampire but cursed with the unquenchable thirst for blood and a weakness to sunlight, Rayne is challenged with her most personal battle yet as she hunts down her siblings.
They have banded together and pledged to carry on their father's legacy of creating a new era of vampire supremacy where humans are mere cattle.
With new acrobatic movements and rail sliding, fast-paced blade and gun combat, fatal finishing moves, more dhampir powers like time control, and an extensive combo system, BloodRayne 2 is a brutally satisfying continuation of the iconic series."
