You will be able to pick up the first two games from this coming Saturday.

Free-To-Play Games

In case you missed it, Microsoft has finally made Free-to-Play games on Xbox consoles actually free to play!

This means you'll no longer need to have Xbox Live to play games like Apex Legends and Call of Duty: Warzone. Fortnite was already free to play thanks to Epic Games, but...

This is something PlayStation has been doing for a while now, but it's a fantastic step in the right direction and opens up a load more games for Xbox players without an active Xbox Gold Live or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription.

Unexpected Surprises?

Of course, this isn't the extent of the free games coming to Xbox consoles in May 2021.

Semi-regularly, Xbox will offer up a couple of games for free for a short period as a part of their Free Play Days promotion. These are always on sale throughout this period and it's used to encourage players to try the games on offer before they buy them.

Of course, even if you don't have any intention to buy it... It's still a pretty good deal right? These are often announced a few days before they go live, so we won't know what's coming just yet. However, we'll make sure we keep you updated on the next Free Play Days games when they're announced.
