WWE 2K22 MyGM Multiplayer: Can you play GM Mode with your friends?

WWE 2K22 is set to reinvigorate the franchise after a hiatus, and one exciting 2K plans to do this is by reviving the old fan-favorite classic game mode, GM Mode as MyGM.

MyGM will look to capture some of the GM Mode spirit wrestling video games have wanted since its removal from WWE video games after Smackdown vs. Raw 2008.

But to truly recreate GM Mode, WWE 2K22 MyGM must also offer some multiplayer options to play with friends.

So does WWE 2K22 MyGM have online multiplayer?

MyGM multiplayer in WWE 2K22 will be a complicated subject right from launch. As created, the game mode will not offer online multiplayer. Instead, it will offer local co-op, allowing 2 players to run competing brands.

There may however be some workarounds to make MyGM multiplayer work on certain platforms.

The first of these multiplayer workarounds includes Steam Remote Play, which may let players create a kind of MyGM multiplayer on PC with some technical maneuvering. As this is largely unexplored so far, we don't have an exact answer for how effective this method will be, and won't know until much closer to launch.

Otherwise, players may try to send game invites or use other creative maneuverings to attempt it on other platforms as well, but in general, the answer is that WWE 2K22 MyGM will not offer online multiplayer, and will instead rely solely on local co-op to play with your friends.

We can only hope this could change in some of the post-launch updates that the dev team has in store, but more likely we'll see this development in WWE 2K23.

WWE 2K22 Release Date

WWE 2K22 will launch in a little less than a month, with a release date of March 11th, 2022.
