
Blizzard has officially revealed the World of Warcraft Shadowlands 9.2.5 release date via the World of Warcraft Twitter today.
This update should be the true final patch of the Shadowlands expansion, and is set to bring on numerous features including the highly anticipated Cross-Faction instances, new arena, Enigma Crucible, Torghast and UI changes, and more.
WoW Shadowlands 9.2.5 Release Date
After sitting in the Public Test Realm (PTR) since mid-March, Shadowlands' 9.2.5 patch is finally going live. Players can expect WoW Shadowlands 9.2.5 to launch on Tuesday, May 31st.
The patch is set up to be the expansion's final update before Dragonflight prep begins via pre-patches and beyond.
Although small compared to its predecessor, the patch is still packing a punch with several major updates. With that in mind, we've decided to highlight what's to come in the patch.

WoW Shadowlands 9.2.5 Patch Notes Highlights
- Cross-Faction Instances
- Players will be able to directly invite players from the opposite faction via BattleTag or Real ID, or if you are members of a cross-faction WoW Community
- They will be able to partake in numerous activities. These include Group Finder listings for Mythic dungeons, raids, or rated arena/RBGs
- Players will be able to directly invite players from the opposite faction via BattleTag or Real ID, or if you are members of a cross-faction WoW Community
- New Arena: Enigma Crucible
- Solo Shuffle Brawl changes
- Item level requirement raised to 252
- Renown catch-up accelerated through Renown 60
- One Renown will be guaranteed in the following instances:
- Mythic and Mythic+ dungeons
- Torghast Layers 9-16
- Defeating a Shadowlands raid encounter
- Winning a Rated Battleground
- One Renown will be guaranteed in the following instances:
- Classes Changes
- Death Knight PvP nerfs
- Warlock PvP nerfs
- Torghast, Tower of the Damned
- All wings are now open (was 2 wings available per week).
- Layers 1–8 are now unlocked by default.
- Layers 9–12 now unlock after completing Layer 8.
- Layers 13–16 now unlock after completing the previous Layer.
- User Interface and Accessibility improvements
