WoW Shadowlands 9.2 is the next big step for the latest World of Warcraft expansion, and it aims to tie-up up a ton of loose ends as its final patch.
With that, here's what we know about Shadowlands 9.2 so far.
WoW Shadowlands 9.2 Release Date
With Shadowlands 9.1 landing 6 months after the launch of the expansion, players best get comfortable, as the Chains of Domination will hold for a long time before we see WoW Shadowlands 9.2.
Despite new Shadowlands 9.2 reveals from the Development team, we still expect to wait a long time for the new update. With all details taken into account, we expect a March release date.

Much like its release date, we're far from any WoW Shadowlands 9.2 patch notes being revealed.
But with WoW Shadowlands 9.1 adding so many new features and content - it leaves us hoping 9.2 can go a step further.
Here are some things we'd love to see in WoW Shadowlands 9.2:
All-time great writing for the Shadowlands storyline
While players were pulled in by the start of WoW Shadowlands and its unique stories, things slowed down quickly after launch with a 6 month wait for its first major update. You can only be so satisfied with the aftermath of Castle Nathria - and Covenant storylines struggled to keep interest rolling for so long.
Once it finally arrived, Shadowlands 9.1 did some work to get interest back - but after some questionable story decisions, it seems it's turned as many fans off of the expansion as it has captivated.
If the creative team can tie together the story of WoW Shadowlands as well as it opened these new doors, it can go a long way in the evaluation of the whole expansion in World of Warcraft history.
Continue to embrace environmental raid bosses
Some of the most engaging, memorable, and exciting boss fights of Shadowlands so far have been its most unique and bold.
These fights stand out in a massive boss list for their ability to take players out of their element and into a brand new setting. Whether mechanics are challenging or simply engaging, more boss fights like Sire Denathrius, Council of Blood, and Artificer Xy'mox would be a move in the right direction.
Kill off tedium
Retail World of Warcraft has had an issue with tedious requirements and activities for a long time, and in WoW Shadowlands, this continues to be the case.
While a variety of content is a great thing for any MMO, let's look at just some of the many systems players must keep up with in current WoW Shadowlands content. This list includes:
- Reach Renown cap each week
- Clear a combination of Mythic+ dungeons, raid bosses, and arena matches for weekly Great Vault loot
- Collect Shards of Domination to fill Domination Sockets
- Clear Torghast and Covenant Assaults for Soul Cinders
- Kill each week's rotating World Boss
- Farm Anima to push toward completion of your Sanctum
- Finish all Covenant quests to advance the storyline
- Complete dailies in the new Korthia zone
- Complete Covenant Callings beyond Covenant campaign quests
At the end of the day, keeping players spinning the wheel may force some to stay, but its affect on the game experience also pushes many away entirely. Either way, these additional systems and requirements handcuff progression and cheapen each piece of the game individually.
