In preparation for World of Warcraft Classic's next expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, Blizzard Entertainment decided to give players a buff that increased experience gains from all sources by 50 percent.
Dubbed Joyous Journeys, the buff affected anything from quests to dungeons and everything in-between making it reward more experience than normal in order to help players level up their alts, or brand-new Death Knights, and have them all prepped and ready/
This buff went live towards the end of July of this year but isn't expected to last a long time. That begs the question... When does Joyous Journeys buff end in WoW Classic?
When does the Joyous Journeys buff end in WoW Classic?
World of Warcraft Classic's Joyous Journeys buff went live on Monday, July 25, 2022, and will end on Monday, September 26, 2022, on Wrath of the Lich King's launch day.
Since its release, Joyous Journeys has been giving players a significant buff in XP gained from all sources. For every quest completed, for every monster killed, players earn 50 percent extra XP.
With it, players have been able to enjoy a much faster leveling experience as the amount of time spent in the process notably went down. Avenues such as much more efficient dungeon spamming—especially when it comes to leveling a Death Knight from 58 to 70—and, to some extent, mob group farming have been made easier.
The Joyous Journeys buff can be disabled at any time, all players have to do is visit their local innkeeper. It'll still appear in players' buff section, wherever players have their buff row but instead will read "Experience gains increase by 0 percent."
Just as it can be disabled, it can be re-enabled at any time, players just need to go back to their local innkeeper.
