If you're looking forward to getting started with Blizzard's new Burning Crusade Classic, this will be important news to you. If you're worried about losing your character from WoW Classic, Blizzard has responded to the community's feedback with some key character clone price changes.
What's A WoW Classic Clone?
Essentially, WoW Classic and Burning Crusade Classic are different. The Classic Era is version 1.13 and Burning Crusade Classic is version 2.5. Bit of a difference there, then.
If you want to play the same character in both versions, you're going to need to purchase a character clone in the other version of the game in order to do this.
" This service – providing a player with a second copy of a character in a different game – is new for us. Our original concept of the value of this service was largely based on how we price other optional items and services. We want players who choose Classic Era realms to feel as though their choice comes with the possibility that they’ll be able to build relationships and guilds with other players they can count on."

Like any MMORPG, players become attached to their characters and it makes sense to offer that option to players. However, there was a little backlash over the pricing of this...
Price Changes Detailed
Thankfully, Blizzard and the WoW Classic team has been listening and they are implementing some price changes to the service from next week.
" After careful consideration, we’ve decided to lower the price of a cloned character in WoW Classic to €15 (£12). You’ll see the lower price in-game when the service becomes available next week."
WoW Classic's character clone service will now cost £12, or your local currency's equivalent.
This should allow more players to explore both the Classic Era and Burning Crusade Classic realms and continue to forge alliances and friendships through their World of Warcraft characters.
