October 29 is the date when WD fanatics will be able to get their hands on the Ubisoft title, and now we've been handed a little more insight into what we can expect.

Lathieeshe Thillainathan AMA

Lathieeshe Thillainathan - Watch Dog's Legion Live Producer - conducted an Ask Me Anything over on Reddit on Friday.

This allowed fans of the game to ask the Producer their burning questions ahead of the release, and it's revealed some interesting information which is sure to excite fans!

Here are all the key takeaways from Friday's AMA.

Ray Tracing Confirmed for PS5 & Xbox One

Arguably the biggest news to come out of the AMA is a whole bunch of confirmed features for the Next-Gen consoles.

The game will run at 4k, 30fps on both the PS5 and the Xbox Series X, whilst ray tracing is supported on both should you wish to enable it.

So be prepared for some next-level graphics when the two new consoles hit the shelves!

Long gone are the days of downloading a game at midnight when its released, with many now offering the preload option in order to allow you to get stuck in as soon as you can.

Whilst no confirmed preload date has been announced yet, Thillainathan has revealed that more information regarding the Watch Dogs preload will be announced next week.

Keep an eye on RealSport101 for all the information surrounding that and much more.

Cross-Platform will NOT feature at launch

It's disappointing news if you were planning to play with your mates on different consoles.

Thillainathan has confirmed that cross-platform play will not feature at launch, but they are planning on implementing the feature as an update in year 1.

Cross progression will feature across all platforms at launch.

Online Play

Thillainathan has also confirmed that online gameplay will be a separate entity to that of the offline world.

He replied to a question asking about online resistance by stating that online is it's own dedicated sandbox, with its own set of playable content designed specifically for coop play.

It means there's more content to get stuck into. Winner.

Season Pass Characters

And finally, linking in nicely to the information about online play, Thillainathan has confirmed that all Season Pass characters are playable in both online and single player.

So if you're a fan of Aiden, or maybe Wrench, then fear not, as they will be able to join your online journey.
