Valorant Patch 5.03: Patch Notes, Details, and More


Valorant patch 5.03 has had its full patch notes revealed. Releasing today, this Valorant patch adds some tweaks to agents, bug fixes and known issues solutions.

Riot Games have always had a good reputation for keeping their games current. This is exactly the same with this patch 5.03 for Valorant and with every other patch for the game. This is why the game has become so popular since its release, only two years ago.

So, let's take a look at the official changes coming in this patch and what it means for the meta.

General Valorant updates

This patch for Valorant has seen the dev team get a brand new update to Unreal Engine 4.26. This means that the tools the developers can use will be easier and better for them.

However, there have been some issues with the UI as the client gets more complicated. Riot Games suggested submitting a bug report if this happens to you.

Valorant agent updates

Chamber

Riot has begun to notice issues with Chamber in Valorant. As his strengths overshadow his weaknesses, they have tried to reduce the power of his kit whilst still keeping him viable for pro play.

Rendezvous (E)

  • Base Cooldown increased 20s >>> 30s
  • Recall Cooldown increased 20s >>> 30s
  • Cooldown set to 45s whenever a Rendezvous anchor is destroyed
  • Diameter size of the “ring” Chamber can stand that allows him to activate Rendezvous decreased 21m >>> 15m

Trademark (C)

  • Slow Duration decreased 9.5 >>> 6s

Tour De Force (X)

  • Ultimate Points Required increased 7 >>> 8
  • Slow Duration decreased 9.5 >>> 6s

Tour De Force (X)

  • Ultimate Points Required increased 7 >>> 8
  • Slow Duration decreased 9.5 >>> 6s

Valorant ultimate ability changes

These Valorant agents' ultimate abilities have been changed so that they follow similar damage rules to weapons. Neon's changes have allowed Riot Games to finetune her across all levels of play. Additionally, this adds depth to the skill needed to play her.

  • Damage per shot reduced 22 >>> 18
  • Killzone increased 15m >>> 20m
  • Leg shot multiplier reduced 1.0 >>> 0.85
  • Headshot multiplier increased 1 >>> 3

  • Leg shot multiplier reduced 1.0 >>> 0.85

JETT Bladestorm (X)

  • Leg shot multiplier reduced 1.0 >>> 0.85

Valorant gameplay updates

The dev team have also added the ability to change "Ghost" keybind outside of custom games. Players can find this under Settings - Controls - Actions.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed an issue with Jett’s Tailwind where switching weapons in the middle of the dash would cause the weapon pull out animation to take longer than desired.
  • Fixed a bug where some Reyna/Killjoy HUD elements were still visible after enabling Hide User Interface.
  • Fixed a bug where defuse animation wouldn’t consistently play if the orb is tapped in rapid succession.
  • Changing crosshair opacity settings in-game causes crosshair preview visual to flicker
  • Spike Announcements UI displaying incorrectly
