When it comes to playing hero-based video games, deciding on which character to play and main is always a difficult task. Riot Game's Valorant is no different. With a grand total of 19 agents to choose from, all of whom have their own unique abilities and skill sets, picking your hero of choice can be a daunting task when first getting into the game.
A great way to narrow down your options for these games is tier lists. Rankings of each playable character based on their competitive viability, tier lists are usually used by players who wish to keep in touch with a particular game's meta.
Here is one for Valorant's roster of agents based on the 4.09 update.
Valorant Agent Tier List
As has become the norm for tier lists in recent years, this list will be divided into five tiers marked with a letter. The lowest tier will be marked with the letter D and it will work its way back up to the letter A with the top tier being S.
The ranking of this list is compiled based on each agent's general usefulness in the competitive scene, taking into account how situational each of their skills and abilities is. The less generally useful a character is, the lower they are in the tiers with each tier being ordered alphabetically.
The list will also contain a link to each agent's wiki page if you want to look into them more closely to better help with your decision-making process. Here is the list.
