Valorant: A Tier List for Episode 5 Weapons

Knowing which weapon to choose can be half of the battle in Valorant. Not only this but some guns work better with some agents too, there are a lot of thought processes going into a match.

To simplify, this tier list will show you which guns are strong as of Episode 5 Act 1. From there, it's up to your personal preference about what you choose and how you play.

We sorted the guns in terms of the price of the gun alongside the damage it puts out and what it does.

Valorant weapon tiers Explained

S tier Valorant weapons

S-tier guns are the cream of the crop. They are most commonly picked in every rank due to the fun and simplicity they bring. Despite the popularity, these guns are good all-rounders and aren't very situationally focussed.

A tier

A-tier guns are still popular, but they are just a little more niche than s-tier weapons. Where S-tier guns work well on both defensive and aggressive maps, this may not be the same for A-tiers.

B tier

B-tier weapons are usually only used at certain places on a map. Such as a shorty in a tight corridor. They won't be picked nearly as much as an s-tier weapon too.

C tier

C-tier weapons are very rarely picked up, simply because it isn't worth it. With low damage and low efficiency, it's no wonder these weapons are left behind in the dirt.

S tier Valorant weapons

Weapons such as Vandal, Operator and Phantom will always be high up in the Valorant rankings. Although the prices of these can feel like a ripoff, the one-shot potential with the Operator is worth putting money into.

The Vandal is also good at one-hit kills but only with a headshot. This makes sense considering the output of consistent damage that it puts out.

A tier weapons

The Judge is a brilliant shotgun. Although it differs from the shorty in the way it can become fully automatic if needed. Shotguns are always perfect for tight spaces due to the area that can be covered with one shot.

Odin is known for one thing. Multi-kills. And with the large magazine used, it only makes sense to run around mowing down everyone it sees.

B tier weapons

The Ares is very similar to the Odin in terms of its layout. The only issue as to why Ares is not considered an A tier is because of the reduced magazine storage.

Additionally, the way that Ares struggles to hit when running makes it a little awkward if trying to storm the site.

C tier weapons

The stinger is a gun that the community wanted to be good. With its low damage output but extremely high fire rate, the speed is just not worth the lack of damage.
