It is highly possible that teabagging may become a bannable offence in Riot's first-person shooter Valorant.
There has been a leak of information from Riot's team who have stated that they want to ban players who teabag the enemy after killing them. This would be implemented from July 1 2022.
The leaked rule suggested that games would instantly end if this was detected. This seems a stretch too far for Riot and as it is a leak, some people are sceptical of the truth it holds.

Teabagging was a ritual that started in the Halo franchise. When an enemy had been killed, the killer would crouch over the face of the killed enemy repeatedly to mimic a sex act.
This has also been done in many other first-person shooters and has made history in gaming.

Due to the history of the teabag, there has been a long debate surrounding it. Many players agree that teabagging is an act of sexual assault, whereas others don't see it as sexual.
Gamers have always had their inside jokes and teabagging is one of them. Branding the gesture as sexual assault has taken the seriousness from real assault, which is how some players view it.
However, with the gaming community split, it seems that Riot is aware of this and is looking to improve their players.
The Valorant leak
The leak came from the Twitter account The Valorant Times which is a known leaker in the Valorant community.
The account stated that...
"Riot will be banning VALORANT players for tbagging their opponents in unrated, competitive, spike rush, and deathmatch."
Additionally, the leak stated that the ban could last from one week to one year. This depends on the number of crouches performed on the dead enemy.
To sum up, with the number of debates going on around this subject, it seems that Riot has chosen a side. However, these are all currently leaks, and until further official information is launched, we won't know.
