UFC Fight Night 117 & Bellator 183: “Half guard on purpose” (podcast)

In the inaugural episode of our MMA podcast, Jake Nichols joins Nicolas Vera and Sirius Brown to discuss what happened to be a fulfilling weekend of mixed martial arts

Jake Nichols is joined by fellow RealSport MMA writers to discuss all things mixed martial arts over what turned out to be an enjoyable weekend of combat sports action. UFC Fight Night 117 in Japan proved to be surprisingly competitive throughout and Bellator 183 provided some of the best finishes we’ve seen all year.

We address each of these major events before later discussing hot topics such Takanori Gomi’s (not so sudden) decline and Benson Henderson’s struggles at Bellator. That’s not all, as we also consider our best performances and fights of the weekend.

On a lighter note, podcast hilarity ensues as the always super-cool Sirius Brown discusses his Tinder exploits.

You can hear all of this, and more, on The Body Lock podcast episode 1: “Half guard on purpose.”

There’s even a short spill about why RealSport MMA is the best up-and-coming MMA content site on the net!
